Regent College has had another successful year for both GCSE and A-level exam results.

This independent school and sixth form college in Harrow has highly qualified teachers, small classes and a proven track record of excellent results.

Students interested in academic development transfer from local schools to achieve high grades at Regent from Year 7 (age 11). Overall those pupils achieving GCSE at grade A* to grade B was 64% and grade A* to grade C was 83%.

A leading example of academic achievement is Tashin Moraria, who achieved at GCSE two A*s, five A-grades and three B-grades.

Students are given expert guidance and a well-planned ‘tailor made' programme of activities which meet their individual goals and aspirations.

For example, Sanoj Chitraker, pictured, achieved six high GCSE grades one year early, including two A*s, and four B-grades.

English is Sanoj's second language and he has made significant progress since joining Regent. He is going on to study four AS levels at the College and intends to read medicine at university.

A-level results are distinguished this year with many students achieving their goals including places at leading universities. The overall A level pass rate is 97% which includes the Regent Learning performance.

For example, Rida Tanvir Qureshi achieved two A-grades and two B-grades at A-level and will be studying Architecture at University College London. Rachna Jani achieved three high grade A-level passes, one A-grade and two B-grades, and will be going to Manchester University to study Accounting and Management. And Neha Kotecha achieved three high grade A-levels to read Economics at Manchester University .

Other students who achieved their goals at Regent this year include Zarna Khamar who attained three high grade A levels and said: “The classes are small and the facilities are excellent. Looking back I can really appreciate all the help and support I received at Regent College , and I am looking forward to studying Physiotherapy at St. George's Medical School , University of London .”

Thusenan Thavapalan, another College student, attained two A-grades and two B-grades at AS level and is now aiming to achieve straight A's next year at Regent.

The College management team is headed by Mrs. Tharshiny Pankaj , Head Teacher, who has many years experience of education management, administration and student support; Dr. Michael McGrath, Deputy Head, a former department head at Hellenic College , a leading independent school, who provides academic support and advice; Mr. Rajeeb Charaborty, Head of Examinations and the Sixth Form, who is also a highly qualified teacher of Physics at Regent; Ms. Juliana Story, Co-ordinator of Form Tutors, who teaches Business Studies and Economics and who previously taught for many years at St. Dominic's Sixth Form College; and Mr. Neil Gardner , UCAS Co-ordinator and Careers Adviser, and teacher of Psychology.
