Selvanayagam Senior would always be remembered in our hearts as an Educationist whose ideas shaped the face of higher education at Regent College. We will never forget his passion for education and his commitment towards each student. In order to continue the legacy left by the great man, Selvanayagam Senior Foundation (SSF) was setup in his memories.

Scholarships are considered "merit-based" financial aid because they are awarded to students based on meeting specified criteria. They are considered gift aid because they do not have to be paid back. Scholarships recipients are selected for a wide variety of reasons. Common reasons include superior academic or athletic performance or capability. However, there are many other reasons that scholarships are awarded.

Selvanayagam Senior Foundation has decided to offer local students a merit based scholarship scheme for entry to Regent College for academic year 2007/08 and beyond.

Regent College is an Independent School and Sixth Form College based in Harrow. Regent College is a friendly college dedicated to traditional academic virtues and hard work. The college has vast experience of proving independent education for students of all abilities and from all backgrounds.

Our combination of a caring personal approach coupled with our experience, means that students that attend Regent College and make the most of our excellent resources and teaching team can achieve their true potential.

Regent College guarantees individual attention in small classes to ensure that each student receives the education and support they need. The small classes lend themselves to a dynamic approach to teaching and foster a real sense of community amongst the students.

The College is a registered Independent Senior School with the Department for Education and Skills and is regularly inspected by Ofsted. The College is also accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and the Council for Independent Further Education (CIFE), both marks of excellence in the field of education.

Selvanayagam Senior Foundation has also undertaken a mission to implement educational, social welfare, and charitable projects in education. The Foundations priorities will be to educate the masses and spread education; In order to bring about a sustainable change in society.
