Mr. James Wardrobe is currently an Independent School Inspector. Prior to this appointment, he has been the head master for 24 years at Landsdown Independent Sixth Form College and Hellenic College London. James Wardrobe is a senior member of the advisory board of Regent Group.

Mr. Selva Pankaj MBA, FCMA

Mr. Selva Pankaj, a graduate of the University of SDA Bocconi, and a qualified Chartered Accountant taught Business and Accounting in 2000 when the College first opened. He also acted as an examiner and undertaken the role of visiting lecturer at various universities.
When Regent was founded, Mr Pankaj was very much involved in all aspects of the college and had an excellent overview of the teaching. Though he has spent much of the last decade working in the financial, investment banking and property investment industries both in the UK and internationally, and managing multi-national enteprieses, he has always ensured that he remained involved in the running of Regent College as this is an essential in the environment of the tutorial college.
At the beginning of 2009, Mr Pankaj decided to return to the College full-time and has since started to teach Business Studies. What he brings to the role, besides his years of teaching experience, is real world knowledge which is an integral part of the students’ success and is of invaluable use in the growth of the College and Group as a whole.
Mrs. Tharshiny Pankaj BSc (Hons)

Mrs. Tharshiny Pankaj is a graduate of Brunel University where she studied Computer Sciences. In 1998 she took the post of ICT & Computing Teacher at a sixth form college. In 2000 she played a large part in the founding of Regent College and was essential in the development of the College into what it has become today.
Though she taught in the early days of the College, with her students achieving high grades of 75% A-B at A-level, including several results of 100%, as the organization expanded, she decided to take a wholly managerial role and as Co-Principal she is now responsible for the overall running of the College as well as overseeing the running of public examinations.

Mrs. Juliana Storey who obtained a degree in Social Sciences (Economics and Politics) from Liverpool University and a Certificate in Education from Westminster joined Regent College from St Dominic’s Sixth Form College with eight years of teaching experience and having been Deputy Head of the Business Education Department.
She also has worked at the highly respected London School of Economics co-ordinating their Choice programme which works with gifted students who want to stretch themselves further. She currently teaches our Economics and Business Studies students and jointly oversees the UCAS application process.
Mr. Virash Patel BSc (Hons), CChem, FRSC

Mr. Virash Patel joined Regent College after ten years at Acorn Independent College, a tutorial college similar to Regent College in many aspects. Whilst there, he held the role of Director of Studies and Head of Chemistry as well as teaching Biology and Chemistry and also has been an examiner of A level Chemistry in the past.
As well as his teaching roles, Virash has worked as an analytical chemist in industry, and was awarded a fellowship from the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has a wide experience of tutorial and pastoral care and of preparing students for entry to schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and optometry.
He also has a very successful track record of assisting students in gaining places to Oxford and Cambridge Universities. In addition, he gives instruction and guidance to all students in implementing their UCAS applications.

Mr. Chakraborty has been at Regent College for four years now after moving on from the Swaminarayan Independent School in Neasden and carries out a great number of responsibilities within the department as well as teaching every year group in the College with a specialisation in GCSE and A level.
In addition to this role, he also holds the role of International Admissions adviser. Before joining Regent College, he taught at many local schools including those in the state, grammar and independent sector.
Mrs. Madhura Dandekar BSc,PGDSE, PGCE

Mrs. Madhura Dandekar has been at Regent College since 2001 and has also worked at David Game College. She has been working as the Head of ICT and teaches ICT to GCSE and A level students.
She has earned a reputation of being a dependable, hardworking and enthusiastic teacher who prides herself on maintaining high standards of delivery at all times. Last year 50% of her students gained A grades at A-level. She also acts as Form Tutor for AS students.
Dr. Alan Taylor BSc, PhD, CBiol, MIBiol
Head of Biology
Dr. Alan Taylor also joined Regent College from Acorn Independent College where he was Head of Biology for ten years and held the post of Director of Studies for three of those years. Whilst there, the school was awarded a Certificate by The Good Schools Guide for the best A-level results for Boys in Independent schools for 2006.
He was also very involved in the College tutorial system and acted as a UCAS supervisor. Before moving to Acorn, he taught at Ealing Tutorial College in the same roles and during his time there he helped improve the A-level Biology results to the point that, in some years, 90% of entries obtained A or B grades.
He is experienced in teaching all age ranges including international students, has also acted as an examiner for three of the major examining boards and has carried out seven years of university research giving him an excellent practical background from which to instruct his students particularly in the coursework ISAs and assignments.
Mr. Philip Arthur

Mr. Philip Arthur joined Regent College from Ealing Independent College where he has held the post of Biology teacher. Mr. Arthur has forty years of teaching experience in a variety of both state and independent schools and colleges within London and further to this has been acting as an Edexcel examiner for 31 years, during which time he has marked O level, GCSE and A level.
This wealth of teaching and examining experience means that he is an ideal position in the role of Head Of Science, ready to impart his profusion of knowledge to his students.
Ms. Mary Froome

Head of English
Ms. Mary Froome joined Regent College from Acorn Independent College where she held the role of Head of English from 2004. She is a highly qualified Head of English with a wealth of experience in both the state and independent sectors.
Her work as an examiner with two major examination boards has helped her to raise significantly the attainment levels of students at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level encouraging many to go on to read English at university.
For several years, she has also provided guidance for students applying to Further Education including preparing students for Oxbridge entrance examinations. Ofsted inspectors have described her teaching as ‘outstanding’ and her exam results as ‘impressive’.
Mrs. Ruchi Agarwal

Ms. Agarwal also joined us from Acorn Independent College and brings eight years experience as the Head of ICT & Computing for GCSE and A level with her. Whilst there, her results were impressive: over the past five years, she had a minimum of a 94% pass rate at GCSE and 83% for A level with many years obtaining 100% pass rates all round.
Before joining Acorn she worked at a number of other tutorial colleges with the result that she is very familiar with our College learning environment and fully equipped to get the best from our students.
Mr. Don Mason

Mr. Mason joins us from Acorn Independent College where he was the Vice-Principal, the Head of GCSE and a teacher in the Sciences and Maths Department specialising in A level Chemistry. In his time there, he brought about great change to the College, building it up not only in number, but in reputation.
He has thirty years of experience in the educational sector having taught at a variety of establishments, including both tutorial colleges and secondary schools. His posts have been varied giving him a fantastic range of skills and experiences that he can put to use here in his new role. Further to this, he has worked as a GCSE and A-level examiner for several years.
Mr. Kandiah Vasanthakumaran BSc,

Mr. Vasanthakumuran has been at Regent College since its inception, teaching GCSE and A Level Mathematics and has seen many students pass through the College. He dedicates himself to his students and he always manages to pass on his passion and enthusiasm for the subject to his students. He has also worked as an Edexcel examiner since 2003. Before joining Regent College, he taught at Ealing College.
Dr. Mohammad Aslam PhD, FCMA

Dr. Aslam is one of our most experienced teachers with over twenty-five years of teaching experience and ten years of practical experience within the Accounting field. He taught at a variety of schools and colleges teaching both Accounting and Finance before joining Regent in 2004.
Last summer he had a 100% pass rate for his A level Accounting students, 75% of whom obtained A-C grades. He has an exemplary range of qualifications, both academic and professional, and prides himself on keeping up to date with developments in the world of finance and accounting.
Ms. Premila Patel

Ms. Premila Patel joined us from Acorn Independent College where she held an identical post to that which she holds here. She was mainly responsible for the
A-level teaching but also held the role of Tutor within the College.
Her success levels are illustrated by the fact that 66% of her A level Sociology students and over half her Psychology students obtained A-B grades in the summer 2009 exams. Ms Patel is now looking forward to using the skills she has learnt there, implementing them into a new environment and repeating that same level of achievement.
